X9 IMAGE CLEARING is a Windows server-based application to upgrade legacy payment systems for Check 21 clearing processing. X9 IMAGE CLEARING enables:

  • Posting,
  • Archiving and
  • Returns processing of X9.37 Image Cash Letter (ICL) files.

BENEFITS

  • Enables Check 21 processing for legacy item processing and payment systems
  • Leverages investment in legacy core payment systems
  • Minimizes non-imaging processing fees
  • Automates outgoing return processing
  • Reduces operational costs
  • Enables Check 21 exchange with complete record of each ICL file
  • Provides efficient research of check images and data
  • Prevents posting of duplicate check items and check images
  • Reduces costs through one-time license fee

X9 IMAGE CLEARING will receive and store X9.37 Image Cash Letter (ICL) files received from image exchanges such as the Federal Reserve Bank. MICR and other ICL transactional data is extracted from the files and populated into a SQL database. Data can then be formatted for interface to core banking systems and legacy image archives. Incoming files are checked for duplicates.

X9 IMAGE CLEARING includes a web server application for research on items received. The system can execute against an exception list file from the legacy system containing items requiring research and possible return. Operators can review these items via a web browser, assign a return code and mark them for return.

Images are retained and stored in a file archive directory. Indexes pointing to the location of the images are stored in a database along with the MICR and other ICL data. The system’s incoming files are checked for duplicate items, with duplicate files being rejected. The system will then generate a file compatible for posting to legacy core banking systems.

Functions

  • Imports X9.37/ICL files automatically into the system
  • Generates posting files compatible with core banking systems
  • Exports images to legacy image archive systems
  • Enables research and return processing of received items via web browser based application
  • Supports file based exception lists for research and return processing
  • Generates outgoing X9.37 Return ICL files
  • Detects duplicate received files and items
  • Sets configurable archival storage period for the received X9.37 ICL files

Licensing

Application Licensing Model

General Licensing Model Terms for licensing AMP's software authorize one user and one physical hardware device per software instance. All My Papers applications require annual subscriptions and runtime licenses.

Each computer using All My Papers software technology requires a runtime license. The licenses are issued in classes based on feature/function and speed/throughput. Licenses are sold for specific machines and users. AMP uses the "one user" license model. For details, see the License text loaded during the installation of the software. Development and Deployment licenses are sold separately so that you can develop and test your application before committing to deployment licensing or hardware.

Virtual Machine Licensing

The All My Papers VM license enables use of AMP applications in VM environments and is available to new customers.

  • AMP includes VM support for VM environments with static UUIDs such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V.  However, installation or configuration support under other VM environments without static UUIDs may be subject to additional installation/configuration support charges.

License Installation and Error Code 107

The License Manager Software facilitates the installation and removal of licenses on individual computers or servers and validates licenses upon installation via the internet. Evaluation licenses, limited time licenses, feature set and feature upgrades licenses are all supported. An error code 107 indicates a missing or invalid license.

LICENSE SPEEDS

All options are available at speeds ranging from 0.5 to 1280 images per second per server. Speed licenses determine the theoretical maximum throughput of an application. Actual performance will vary depending on hardware, image quality, number of functions called and other factors.

Every PC using AMP MCIR OCR software requires a licensed runtime. Runtimes used on single processors are available for distributed applications based on functionality and throughput per the table below.

Please note that "Max images per second" refers to the speed at which images may be accessed. Many operations (such as the ampProcessCameraCheckImages call) require multiple image accesses. The number of image accesses required for a particular task (MICR extraction for example) will vary depending on the quality of the check images. All My Papers will provide temporary licenses so that customers can characterize application performance under a given speed license class.
